IBM helps partners with free marketing - Always on access to IBM content

IBM is providing software packages to its smaller channel partners that will provide them with marketing resources.

Partners will get access to a web syndication service which will allow them to add IBM content such as product presentations and comparisons, specification sheets, buyers' guides and Webcasts to their Web sites.

The content is adapted to the site's look-and-feel and visitors are unaware they are accessing another site.

However it does mean that IBM can get its channel partners singing from the same hymn sheet and present fairly expensive material to clients.

One trial user of the system is Lighthouse Computing which has a small marketing staff. According to CRN a Lighthouse spokesman said that Big Blue has given it a huge amount of content that no one would have the time to generate. X
