AMD gets physical with Havok

Let's get logical, logical

Havok and AMD will team up to put so-called 'physics effects' on the microprocessors made by the Sunnyvale firm.

AMD said that 100 developers and 300 titles already use Havok's physics engine, so it's logical to work together on what will be open standards for the gaming industry.

Havok and AMD will optimise the physics technologies on AMD's X86 chips, including the Phenom X4, and will also see how well ATI Radeon graphics chips will work with the technology. X
