Acer launches Aspire one

Acer’s first mobile Internet device for the Indian market

Acer has launched the Aspire one, its first mobile Internet device for the Indian market.

Aspire one is a communication device designed to provide continuous access to the Internet. Acer terms it as a stylish, sleek and highly portable device that can be taken anywhere. According to Acer, it was important to reduce weight and dimensions to suit the needs of the users. It is also available in five shades, sapphire blue, pink, brown, black and white. 

Aspire one comes with a reduced LCD size of 8.9 inches and weighs less than a kilo. It is smaller than an average office diary and offers several connectivity options and has user-friendly software application suite. It has a battery life of up to 3 hours and more.

The Aspire one is equipped with Intel Atom processor, Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home, and has 1GB of RAM memory. The notebook also features the one mail software suite that allows the users manage up to six email accounts with a single application interface.

Aspire one also uses messenger for instant messaging that allows users to simultaneously access various instant messaging services. The software can also be used with a built-in video camera for instant video-chats and video conferences. X
