| | Chip firm AMD said that its quad core Opteron 2356 and 8356 hold the record for web performance for 2P and 4P systems, using the SPECweb2005 benchmark.
The 2P quad core chip scored 30007 on an HP Proliant DL385 G5 server using two 2356 chips at clock speeds of 2.3GHz.
The 4P quad core scored 43,854 on the same test, using the 8356 chip, also running at 2.3GHz. The firm claimed the 4P results are 'among the first' to use a 10 Gigabit Ethernet network infrastructure. X | |
