AMD sued by Bender

It’s all about old buffers

By Mike Magee @ Monday, March 23, 2009 10:34 AM

Chip firm Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is being sued for allegedly breaching a patent.

Gregory Bender filed the case a week ago in a North California district court. Bender claimed he was granted a patent on 9 April 1992, called Buffer Transconductance Amplifier (5,103,188).

He alleges that AMD has known of this patent and 'has pursued its knowing and willful infringement in flagrant disregard' of his rights.

So Bender wants an award for triple damages, his court costs and interest on the damages. X
