Mac clone maker Psystar said that it is still in business despite rumours that Apple had shut it down.
According to MacWorld the outfit has also started shipping recovery discs to customers by request to help them reinstall Apple's Mac OS X 10.5 operating system. Fruit-themed Apple sued Psystar for selling Open Computer and OpenPro Computer clones.
Basically Psystar has been installing Apple's Leopard on its machines which Cupertino claims is in breach of the Mac OS X end-user licensing agreement. Many Apple fanboys thought that would be the end of the company but according to the front page of the Psystar website it is still in business. The company claims its sales teams had received several inquiries as to whether or not systems were still available. It just wanted to say it still was.
So far some of that is because a federal court has given Psystar two extensions before it has to face any hearing. The final deadline is next week. It is fairly certain that Apple will try to get the company closed while the case goes to court. X
