The usually timid UK Advertising Standards Association (ASA) picked on Apple over claims its Iphone spanned the web.
In an adjudication over a TV advert, the ASA ruled that Apple claims that the Iphone accessed all the internet were misleading. Two people had complained that the Iphone didn't access the web because it supported neither Java nor Flash.
Apple retorted that this was a minor matter, but the ASA took a different point of view and told the firm that it should never lighten our TV screens with that particular advert ever, ever again. X |
