Asus goes mini in India with R2E Notebook - Market inclined towards mobile notebook

Keeping an eye on the increasing market for mobile notebooks, Asus announced the India launch of the R2E ultra mobile notebook. The R2E comes with features like a built-in Global Positioning System (GPS). Among its other main features are multimedia functions like a  'Sun Read' glare-proof panel, and a touch panel input on an intelligent digital writing.    

On the design front, the smaller and lighter design has features like built-in Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g and a high-resolution webcam that offer extensive high-speed connection and wire-free video communication

The digital data transfer in it is much easier and safer as it gives access to easy file sharing with different devices and users, while opening the door for future technologies.

People can record and edit images or documents with the integrated 'Info Pen' software. The 'Digi Pen' stylus lets you navigate using a pencil like approach with an electronic rubber and mouse control buttons.

The Asus R2E notebook costs  $1,516 (Rs 64,900). X
