On the second day of BangaloreIT.biz 2008, an event organized by the Department of IT, BT and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, STPI-Bangalore and MM active has dedicated an Awards Nite, to confer various awards to the IT companies, for their achievements.

The Infosys Technologies and Wipro will be given the award of Top Indian IT Companies, with Tata Consultancy Services and Satyam Computers Services closely followed by the Certificate of Excellence for next two leading Major Indian IT Companies. IBM India and Accenture Services will be awarded Top Two Foreign Equity IT Companies under the category of Top MNC IT Companies and Oracle India and Hewlett Packard Globalsoft will get the certificate of Excellence for next two leading Foreign Equity IT Companies.

Infosys BPO and FirstSource Solutions are the Top Two ITES/BPO Companies to be awarded at the event, and HTMT Global Solutions and Aditya Birla Minacs Worldwide stands out as the next two leading ITES/BPO Companies. Dell International Services India and Fidelity falls under the category of Top MNC ITES/BPO Companies, with Goldman Sachs Services and Global e-Business Operations in the line.

In the category of Top Employing IT/ITES Company, Infosys Technologies is Highest Employing IT Company, Infosys BPO is Highest Employing ITES/BPO Company, Wipro is considered as IT Company Employing Highest Women professionals, and Infosys BPO again to be awarded for ITES/BPO Company Employing Highest Women Professionals.

Accenture Services will be awarded the recognition of IT Company Employing Highest % of Women professionals and DBOI Global Services as the ITES/BPO Company Employing Highest % of Women professionals. Dream Ajax Technologies, Zoom MediaPlus Technologies and Active Cubes Solutions India will be honored as the Emerging STPI Incubating Companies for its Star Performance and Indus Edge Innovation will be the Innovative Company.

Texas Instruments and Intel Technology are the Top Two Semiconductor/IC Design Companies, and NXP Semiconductors India and Infineon Technologies are the next in the category. Arisglobal Software and McM1 Systems will be recognized as the Top Two fastest Grown SME Companies. Marlabs Software and Sidvin Core-Tech India are the next on the lead.

American Power Conversion and GE Medical Systems are the Leading Electronic Hardware Companies, and Wipro GE Healthcare and Elcoteq Electronics are the next two leading companies in this category. Infosys Technologies, Larsen & Tourbo-EmSys, ExcelSoft Technologies, Larsen & Tourbo Infotech, Diya Systems (Mangalore), Robosoft Technologies, First Indian Corporation, N.S. Infotech, Sankalp Semiconductor, Katwa Infotech and Neilsoft have been shortlisted as the companies showing their excellent achievement as Exporters. X
