Bezeg to use Alcatel-Lucent's kit

Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by Israeli telecommunications provider Bezeg, to supply its Ethernet and IP routing stuff..

Bezeg intends to provide Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), Ethernet-lines (e-lines) and other functions offered by Alcatel-Lucent to its business customers.

Bezeg is expecting to improve the potential of its new metro Ethernet network. The deal means Bezeg can offer a customized VPN service according to the requirement of each enterprise.

The VP of Engineering at Bezeg, Yuval Keinan, said that there is demand by operators for kit that can support the effective delivery of high-quality next generation services for their customers. And Alcatel-Lucent is expected to meet the requirements of the company’s business-critical communications, efficiently and cost effectively.

Alcatel-Lucent’s7750 Service Router and 5620 Service Aware Manager is set to be the base for Bezeg’s new Ethernet network. Assuring reliability and continuous delivery of quality service, Alcatel-Lucent will also enable Bezeg to support the convergence of IP voice, data and video. X
