Blood & Honour hacked

Racist music network unmasked

By John Daly in Germany @ Monday, September 01, 2008 3:55 PM

A German group of left-wing hackers calling itself "Datenantifa" (data antifascist action) has breached, entered and seized all databases of international racist music network Blood & Honour.

All in all, 31,948 registered users can now find their details, posts, photos and private forum messages up for grabs on share sites Rapidshare and Megaupload. The group decided to zip and put the databases up for download and let dog & world analyse it.

It seems diverse domestic intelligence agencies might also be interested in the databases. The German Verfassungsschutz, a secret police for the protection of the constitution which keeps tabs on all sorts of political extremists and foreign intelligence, has already voiced interest in analysing the databases. However, information cannot be used as evidence in criminal cases, as the data was seized illegally. At least 500 users of the Blood & Honour site were Germans. These charming lads and girls will find themselves in a pickle as Blood & Honour has been ruled a criminal conspiracy over in Germany and was banned. However, the organisation renamed itself Division 28 and is still out and about.

The data might have an impact on Germany's own political landscape. The chairman of the extreme right-wing party NPDm Udo Voigt, took part in a meeting organised by the Hungarian section of the network. Any saucy details are bound to damage the party and its henchmen.

Any interested parties can head over here to view the press release featuring various download links for the databases. X
