BT inks £160m outsourcing deal

UK building society signs up for seven years

By Andrew Thomas @ Tuesday, July 01, 2008 12:10 PM

BT has signed a £160m ($320m) deal with the Nationwide to run the UK building society's networks for the next seven years.

All Nationwide's voice and data systems, along with outside contracts, will be controlled by BT and consolidated into BT's Global 21CN next-generation network.

Nationwide previously managed all its IT services in-house. It was not announced whether or not any job losses will result from the deal. X
