POLICE are finding that suspects' GPS devices are proving really useful at providing eye witness material.

According to AP, forensics experts have been working out ways to extract information about a suspect's whereabouts from them.

Scotland Yard has apparently used car GPS devices to solve dozens of investigations into kidnappings, grooming of children, murder and terrorism. The machines have yielded information about a suspect's whereabouts at particular times, their journeys and addresses of associates.

Mark Stokes, the head of the digital systems department at Scotland Yard, said such devices were seized at arrests before suspects could wipe the memory or damage them.

So it's always a good idea to turn off your GPS before you conduct your bank raid. X
