Data lost for CCTV cameras in Ahmedabad bombings

Fundamental flaw in the system

By Examiner Staff @ Thursday, July 31, 2008 9:39 AM

Digital photography captured by CCTV cameras in the Gujarat city of Ahmedabad has gone AWOL, according to press reports.

Cops in the city monitored the CCTV cameras at a toll gateway on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad motorway but discovered that there were no photographs of vehicles suspected of being used by the terrorists.

The four cars in questions were stolen vehicles using false number plates. Meanwhile the police are attempting to trace an individual who hacked into a US citizen and hijacked his PC to send an email claiming responsibility minutes after the blasts occurred.  X
