Dell releases new cut price PC

Dell Studio Hybrid targets Eee price band

By Dave Murray @ Tuesday, July 29, 2008 10:33 AM

Dell has released its new Studio Hybrid PC to compete with the cut price boxes like the Eee PC.

Although it is a lot more expensive than the Eee, it owes a lot to Apple design and has a RF wireless keyboard and mouse. Its plastic shell can be removed and replaced with a different colour, or even one made of bamboo. It has lots of USB ports, a healthy 4GB of RAM and is largely recyclable. It even uses 71% less power and all it's all controlled by Intel Core 2 Duo processors.

A basic configuration starts at $499, without monitor; with monitor, $689. X
