E-gurus to replace real ones

NIIT has launched its e-guru to benefit students and teachers at BGS International Residential School, Bangalore, writes Debopriya Nandy

E-guru is a specially designed computer education technique to supplement Gurus made of flesh and blood. Though a person holding authority over the school said that even if extracting from the positivity of an improved technology is important, so is preserving the cultural ethos of the country.

Whatsoever, blackboards are finally being replaced by electronic devices. These tools are being made more popular by the third generation spectrum, said M K Shankarlinge Gowda, a senior bureaucrat of the Karnataka government, addressing the school's Medical Education Department. Teachers and students of the school have already been given demonstrations on the new teaching methodology. X
