Everonn Systems India has kicked off an educational IT programme at the Gandhiniketan Ashram School in Tamilnadu.
The company is slated to offer digitalised content and a number of interactive learning tools for students. Schoolteachers will also be trained to utilise computers for instructive purposes.
R Kannan, director of Everonn Systems India, explained that the corporate world needed to play a signifcant role in creating change. According to Kannan, the pilot initiative would supply 1,000 educational facilities in rural areas with "IT infrastructure, good quality content and an interactive medium for enhancing learning."
Everonn currently maintains 232 schools, 239 colleges and 29 retail centres on its virtual platform. The company also provides IT education to 4,200 schools. X
