Google sued for "worthless" ad clicks - No content equals discontent

A law firm filed a class action against Google accusing the search monster of charging for clicks from web sites that have zero content.

Kabateck Brown Kellner filed the case in a California district court, and claimed Google is charging its customers for ads on 'parked' websites, even though such sites have nothing on them but, er, Google ads.

Said Brian Kabateck, chief lawyer at the practice: 'The supposed advantage of Google advertising is that it's targeted. If Google is simply placing ads anywhere they can make a buck, one has to seriously question the value of their advertising programme.'

Kabateck has form - the law firm won a multi-million dollar settlement from Yahoo and contributed to a $90 million settlement from Google for 'click fraud'.

The law suit claims Google doesn't tell its advertisers about parked domains so they're left not knowing the validity of the clicks. X
