Endeavour Software Technologies, started in 2002 by a team of IIT Kanpur graduates, is in the process of developing Iflirt for Iphone.
Iflirt combines various features of the Iphone, including GPS to learn about the location of persons while chatting, to share music through a dedicated interface, or to detect compatible album and song lists.
Manish Garg, co-founder and director, Endeavour Software Technology, said, ‘Iflirt works on the peer-to-peer networking principle, but more importantly, amplifies existing Iphone applications. We have completed work on the interface and are working on issues like backups and music provisioning.’
Under development for the last two months, Iflirt is estimated to have cost $150,000 in research and development . The company’s lab in Bangalore, with 15 engineers and SDK programmers already has two patents and intends to grab three more. Iflirt’s new user interface, supported by large multi-touch display and new software will facilitate wider social control at the touch of the user’s fingers. Garg expects to achieve a one million user base in the first few weeks of Iflirt’s US launch in November.
