Hon Hai subsidiary slashes flat panel production

Demand and supply woes and flows

A subsidiary of massive Taiwanese computer combine Hon Hai has confirmed that it plans to cut back on production of LCD panels for PC monitors and TVs.

The Taipei Times reported that Innolux has instituted a cost saving drive which will mean it will process less glass because of a combination of oversupply and weaker demand.

Although Innolux will continue to invest in an assembly plant, that project will not take place as fast as the company had originally scheduled, said the Taipei Times, here. X
