Chinese telecoms giant Huawei said it is number one in the global DSL space with a market share of 31%. It derived the figure from a report by market research firm Broadbandtrends.

The firm said it has increased DSL port shipments even during a decline in total industry sales of 14%. Huawei estimated that by the first quarter of this year it has shipped 150 million lines of access equipment, including 70 million DSLAM ports to over 96 countries. X
