The Indian institute of planning and management (IIPM) beat all the Indian institutes of management (IIMs) to be ranked the number one business school in India for the broad “global exposure” it offers its students. IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore have been ranked two and three respectively.
The institutes were rated by “Zee business best B school survey”, the first of its kind on Indian television in association with the international research firm Synovate. IIPM also was at rank seven as the best business school overall, ahead of two IIMs. It was at eight for best industry interface and at nine for best placements ahead of one of the IIMs and at nine again for best course content. IIPM was in second place for international placements, beaten only by IIMs.
Faculties from top universities such as Harvard, Yale, Wharton, Stanford, London School of Economics, and Oxford visit IIPM to organise joint workshops with IIPM for Indian corporates and to teach IIPM students. The students also benefited from exclusive sessions with eminent academics like Philip Kotler, Zig Zigler and Stephen Covey.
Under IIPM's global opportunities and threat analysis (GOTA) program, more than 3,000 students visit Europe, America or other developed nations for a few weeks to get exposure to international business environment.
In the past, students have visited organizations such as the World Bank, United Nations and corporate giants such as IBM and Nestle. Students from international universities also visit IIPM as part of the global students exchange programme. X |
