The IIT (Institute of Information Technology) in Madras has signed a memorandum of understanding with US firm Nuance, which provides speech and other technologies.

Under the agreement, the IIT and Nuance will collaborate on developing speech applications, specifically in healthcare,  e-commerce and government schemes. And they will both help incubate startups around similar technologies.

Professor Ashok Jhunjhunwal signed the deal on behalf of the IIT, and both will cooperate to create a development and testing lab. X
