Indian government to crack Blackberry encryption

And other options

The communication and IT minister A. Raja has informed that the government plans to apply technology to intercept Blackberry messages if Research In Motion (RIM) did not comply, reported the Business Line.

According to Raja, the government will consider other available options to intercept the messages. He has informed that other companies had offered assistance to intercept the Blackberry messages.

RIM has, until now, maintained that it is unable to provide the key to its messages as it goes not possess one. However, the Indian security agencies feat that this could threaten social security. X
