Indian scientists build eye component

On nano scaffolding

A research centre in Chennai is collaborating with six Indian eye hospitals to make corneal endothelium  using so called nano-scaffolding.

According to the Mumbai Mirror, the Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine will set up a cell bank based on the findings of a Japanese doctor, Shiro Amano.

He discovered that there were stem cells in the inner layer of the cornea and Nichi-In is building on this discovery with clinical tests on people starting in six months. X
