Infy techie busted for presidential threat mails

Politicians to blame for everything, apparently

An Infosys programmer has been arrested by the police on charges of sending threatening emails to president Pratibha Patil.

J. Sriram (24), who was working at Infosys' Chennai office, told police that he was generally dissatisfied with the political situation in the country and that was the reason behind sending the threat mails to the president, said M. Sudhakar, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Chennai's Cyber Crime Cell.

Sriram who holds politicians responsible for all the political problems of the country had sent 16 emails to the president between, October 11th and October 12th, which carried expressions of dissatisfaction with the political system of India.

The techie has been charged on a number of counts, including intimidation and use of obscene language. X
