Kannada film makers promoted on Youtube

It’s not just the geeks in Banagalore who are tech-savvy. Kannada filmmakers are also aware of using the web to their interest.

These days, the most popular tool for promoting their films is video-sharing site Youtube and Blogs. Internet and radio channels are considered as the most viable source for promoting films among the youngsters who are hooked on the internet most of the time.

Prakash, who directed 'Milana', feels internet and radio really helped him to promote his films among youngsters.  One song, 'Anthoo inthoo preethi banthu', from his film, was uploaded on Youtube 11 months ago, has had more than 106,000 visitors.

Actor Ramesh Arvind, who recently directed the film 'Accident', said he has extensively used Youtube and blogs to promote his film. Seeing the popularity of blogging and the Youtube craze in India, the thought of promotion through these channels is undoubtedly a brilliant idea, and the best part is, saving a huge chunk of money that goes in promotion these days.
