With laptops becoming fashion accessories rather than tools, Lenovo today announced the availability of the Ideapad U110 notebook PC, winner of three Best-of-Show awards at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show, in India.
Amar Babu, managing director of Lenovo India, said, “We’re confident the much-anticipated IdeaPad U110 ultra-portable notebook will excite customers'.
The notebook has piano finish keyboards, a frameless screen, weighs 1.05kgs - without the standard battery - and has an 11-inch wide screen. It measures about 18.44mm thick and has an LED screen for brighter display. It has 120GB of hard drive, with up to 3GB memory, a built-in camera, WLAN, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity on selected models.
This “vanity box” is available in all Lenovo authorised storefronts, with a starting price of Rs 98,000 without tax or shipping.
Early this month Toshiba and HP also introduced their so-called fashion-oriented notebooks, but Lenovo is the first to capitalise on the Indian market, and also costs less than its rivals. X |
