Moka has unveiled an advanced language translation application for Skype.

The program allows Skype users to chat with participants in English, Spanish or Chinese. In addition, Moka supports the transmission of translated text messages via Skype's built-in SMS service.

"Skype is one of the most popular and effective services in the world today for global communications, and we are excited to be adding a high-value multilingual communication capability for Skype users. Moka Chat for Skype is the ideal translation solution for a community with such a vast multilingual user base," explained Diego Winegardner, president and co-founder of Moka.

CEO Michael Donahue noted that there were over 700 million people learning English in Asia.

"We are in a position to break down language barriers and at the same time provide a completely new paradigm for multilingual communications and language learning," added Donahue.

Moka has also announced plans to release similiar translation software for the Iphone and Ipod touch.

The free Moka Chat beta is available for download at: http://www.moka.com. X
