Tulip Telecom, a Delhi-based data telecom service provider has bagged Rs. 95 crore worth Madhya Pradesh state wide area network (SWAN) project, reports the Business Standard.
This five year agreement, signed between MP State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) and Tulip is based on a build own operate and transfer (BOOT) model. As per the agreement, Tulip will deploy, manage and operate the network for a period of 5 year. The project deals with supply and installation of network, which will support data, voice and video, enabling e-Governance in the state. The state aims to intensify its position under the National e-Governance Plan of the Government of India.

Bedi, CMD Tulip Telecom said, ‘Tulip is delighted to be a part of the prestigious National e-Governance Plan of Government of India (NeGP) and look forward to extend expertise for the successful deployment of Madhya Pradesh SWAN.’ Equity Bulls reported Anurag Shrivastava, MD MPSEDC stating, ‘We have trusted Tulip as our partners for this mission after extensive evaluation of their strengths, and their technical and commercial offer. The SWAN will enable the government to deliver various eGovernance services to the citizens of MP and allow transparent and quick decision making within the state.’ X
