NIIT snags British Airways deal

Multi-million pound contract

By Peter Larsen @ Friday, September 26, 2008 7:19 AM

Indian software firm NIIT Technologies has won a three-year multi-million pound outsourcing order from British Airways.

The company will reportedly provide support testing services for BA's various businesses. According to NIIT, the airline is examining ways of reducing costs due to the rising cost of fuel, the credit crunch and sinking consumer confidence.

The deal is apparently one of the largest ever to be signed by NIIT Tech.

By 10:02 am, NIIT Technologies had been quoted at Rs 98.35, up Rs 3.70, or 3.91% on the NSE.  X
