Nokia has introduced Nokia Media Network to help advertisers reach their target audience in 10 metro areas of the United States through mobile campaigns, reports the Earth Times.

The Nokia Media Network’s Metro Targeting helps advertising companies to get higher returns on their investment, by serving ads to mobile users in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St Paul, New York, San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose, Seattle/Tacoma and Washington. Describing the possibility of local advertising through the ability to target mobile ads to specific metro areas, Tom Henriksson, head of Nokia Interactive Advertising, said, "This is particularly compelling for advertisers that want to reach their core customer base. And, in an election year, when other forms of local media are saturated with political advertising, mobile is now a viable, uncluttered medium for reaching key segments in specific geographies."

Dealing with publishers such as Hearst, and TV guide operator partners such as Sprint, Nokia  says its interactive advertising helps brands to reach a potential global audience of 3.3 million consumers with mobile devices. X
