Chip giant Intel said it has made available the draft spec for the Extensible Host Controller Interface, a vital element for the future USB 3.0.
AMD, Nvidia and other firms endorsed the draft spec, which is available royalty free to interested parties involved in promoting USB 3.0.
AMD's Phil Eisler, a corporate vice president, said that USB 3.0 answers the future bandwidth needs of the PCs platform.
Microsoft dived in to endorse the xHCI 0.95 spec, as well as Nvidia, Dell, NEC, and others. X |
