US presidential hopeful Barrack Obama’s political advisors have written him an Iphone application which turns the gizmo into a political recruiting tool.

The application organises and prioritises your contacts by key battleground states, making it easy to reach out and make an impact quickly.

In other words if your friends in different parts of America are living in marginal areas you are supposed to give them a call and tell them how wonderful Obama is. Although those of your friends who live in Texas will obviously not be worth calling until after the election.

However the application phones home to Obama’s campaign HQ.  Apparently it is just to tell Obama the number of calls you make using the tool.
The Obama for America Iphone application is available for download through Apple's Itunes store, if it hasn't closed down yet. X
