Polaris launches Unified Portal

Offers single business transaction

Polaris Software Lab, a company specialising in specialty application development for the banking, financial and insurance sector announced the launch of a new version of its “unified portal” for corporate banking customers.

The new version will be launched at Sibos 2008, in Vienna, Austria and offers liquidity and treasury services in addition to the existing product lines such as trade, cash and payments.

Key Features of this version include role-based view for corporate customers to view and transact multiple product lines, real time balance and transaction reporting at a group or entity level for corporate working capital management, and ability to book deals, inquire and subscribe reports for treasury services.

Arun Jain, Chairman and CEO, Polaris, said that they were offering 90 to 180 days implementation timeline for the portal platform, to ensure fast tracking return on investment and quick time to market. Manoj Saxena, senior vice president and head, corporate banking solutions, Polaris, said that Banking customers accessed multiple URLs or did multiple logins to avail of various services. However, the launch of the intellect unified portal would enable banks will to offer a “single business transaction” facility across various banking applications to their corporate customers. Saxena said that this would enhance customers’ experience to a great extent. X
