Indian Railways which has been enjoying increased profits under Lalu Prasad Yadav’s management, has found a new way to generate cash. It is now inviting advertising agencies and media houses to tender for online advertising contracts.
The railway receives a staggering 15 million hits per day on its two web-sites, indianrail.gov.in and trainenquiry.com.
One can already find ads from Tata, Citi, Sharkhan etc on these websites, which must be raising a considerable sum for the train operator. X
