Samsung explores new markets - Launches new screens and projectors in India

Samsung India is strengthening its IT product base in the country. The company today launched three new models of LCD monitors, and announced its foray into two new markets - projectors and digital photo frames.

Commenting on the three new monitors - T Monitor, Myst Plus, and Lime - Y J Lee, Samsung India's vice president for IT business, stated: “In keeping with the global market trends, the Indian display market too is witnessing a dramatic shift in favour of LCD monitors”. The company also plans to expand its IT channel this year and will set up its own-brand shops.
 
The T monitors have been launched in 19-inch, 20-inch and 22-inch wide display format, and are priced between Rs 12,500 and Rs 15,500. The Lime series is available in 19-inch, 20-inch and 22-inch wide formats, with a price ranging between Rs 14,000 and Rs 17,000. The Myst Plus series includes a 17-inch monitor for Rs 9,575 and a 22-inch model for Rs 14,000.

Samsung is also entering the projector market with the HD 1080p projector - A800, which has a 24 frame film mode and will cost Rs 350,000. The company plans to strengthen its digital projector base by offering more products in the coming months.

It has also launched an eight-inch digital photo frame, the SPF-83H, which comes with an internal memory of 128MB and is priced at Rs 9,900. X
