Sify Technologies and Juniper Networks has announced the launch of enhanced managed security services for small to large Indian enterprises, applying Juniper’s Adaptive Threat Management software.

Sify will launch these enhanced services with a single point of service deployment, management and control. The company also plans to adopt Juniper’s technology to offer WAN optimisation and Application Acceleration services. With the ability to identify, mitigate, and report on the most complex security attacks in real time, the Adaptive Threat Management technology can significantly reduce threats and risks faced by global enterprises.

P J Nath, Executive President of Sify Enterprise Solutions said, ‘We launched our end-to-end managed security services with a state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre in Bangalore in January this year. The partnership with Juniper Networks is an extension of this strategy to position Sify as the most comprehensive managed services player in India for the enterprise segment. Juniper’s technology and expertise, combined with our infrastructure management capabilities and expertise, offer a winning combination in managed security services in India.’

Claiming Sify’s decision to adopt Juniper’s technology for enhanced managed services as a testament to the company’s stand as a provider of best-in-class security technologies, Nagendra Venkaswamy, Managing Director of India & SAARC, Juniper Networks said, ‘Many enterprises are choosing to protect their network assets against the ongoing proliferation of complex threats by purchasing cost-effective and easy-to-use managed security services. However, the reliability, performance and effectiveness of the underlying security technologies can make or break these services.’ Venkaswamy also stated that managed security services are one of the fastest growing services in India with a market size of about  Rs 181 crores last year.
