Silver Software, a provider of software and safety engineering services for high integrity systems, has announced it is to merge with its system development partner, Atena Engineering.

The merger between Anglo-Indian Silver and Germany's Atena will lead to the formation of one of the largest service companies in the safety-critical electronic market, called Silver Atena.

Senthil Kumaran, MD of Silver Atena, India said, "This relationship will allow Silver Atena to offer a unique proposition to both our current clients and the broader high integrity systems market. The merger will synergise state-of-the-art technology from India and Europe and thereby provide a strong platform for Silver Atena’s next phase of growth."

With 500 engineers spread across the UK, Germany, India, Spain, US and the Middle East, Silver Atena expects a turnover of $50 million this year and $100 million in the next three to four years. The company believes India to be its next big destination and plans to increase its Indian headcount from the current 250 to 550.

Silver Atena will provide services to transport majors like BMW, Daimler Chrysler and Airbus. X
