According to Taiwanese quango the MIC (Market Intelligence Center) Taiwanese desktop PC industry's shipment volume will reach 12.38 million units in the third quarter (3Q) of 2008, and is expected to reach shipment value worth US$3.60 billion.

Taiwan’s desktop PC shipment volume fell 9.3% year-on-year to approximately 10.55 million units in the second quarter (Q2) of 2008 and the shipment value fell 9.7% year-on-year, reaching approximately US$3.06 billion.
