Taj flames like World Trade Center

Starts collapsing at 3:25 hours

The Taj hotel, in Mumbai's Colaba district, has been destroyed by bomb blasts, and is being compared to New York's World Trade Center after the 9/11 attacks.

As a result of tonight's terror attacks, the iconic building is wreathed in smoke and fire, and masonry has been slamming down.

The fire spread from one part of the building to another. As IT Examiner reported earlier, there were two blasts in the hotel, which must have affected the building pillar and initiated the downfall. However the dome of the hotel was still intact.

The terrorists inside the hotel building are believed to be in an advanced position, allowing them to drop grenades whenever and wherever they want. The situation of the hostages inside the heritage building is unclear; it’s assumed that the drama will last until dawn.

Fresh firing from the terrorists inside was heard from the hotel area at 3:30 hours, leading to an absolute disaster as it suppressed the rescue team from extinguishing the fire. The fire brigade tankers piped in gallons of water, to try and save the heritage building.

The Taj is not just a five star hotel, it’s the heritage of Mumbai, the heart of the city.  The noise of ambulances, the sight of the burning Taj will haunt those who have seen it for years. X
