TCS boss gets recognition in South America

As company shifts focus from US

By Subhankar Kundu @ Tuesday, October 28, 2008 6:32 AM

TCS chief S Ramadorai has been awarded this year’s International CEO Award by Latin Trade, a business magazine that focuses mainly on industrial developments in South America.

This award may have been made in recognition of the Indian IT firm's shifting focus away from the economically-troubled US and towards Latin America. It sees the region as an emerging market which could mushroom the company's business in the South American continent.

More than 300 leaders attended the function, which also attracted CEOs of multinationals and South American companies. Latin American ministers were also present at the function. X
