UFO hacker will be extradited

Rejected by the Court of Human Rights

By Dave Murray @ Thursday, August 28, 2008 1:13 PM

A computer expert who hacked into top secret US military networks in a bid to find proof of aliens will be extradited to the US in the next two weeks.

Gary McKinnon, 42, asked the European Court of Human Rights to stay his extradition pending an appeal to the court but his application was refused.
It has taken the US government six years to extradite McKinnon who fears that he will be made a example of for showing how lax US security was.

He faces up to 70 years in prison if a US court finds him guilty. Since he has admitted doing it, he could go to prison for a long time for not accepting a deal with US prosecutors. It understood they told him that if he accepted his charge he would only go inside for six years.

Today's ruling rejected the request for a stay in the extradition process pending a full hearing of the court. Mr McKinnon claimed the extradition would breach his human rights. X
