US to allow hard drugs to be sold online

US government regulators are drawing up rules that will allow highly addictive drugs, including powerful painkillers, to be prescribed online.

Current rules mean that doctors have to write out prescriptions for controlled drugs, making it easier for patients to abuse their treatments or sell their drugs. The Drug Enforcement Agency wants drugs to be prescribed electronically, making it harder for patients to do anything other than keep taking the tablets.

There is also the problem of reading Doctor's handwriting, which makes cuneiform B look clear. Insurance companies are worried that they are having to pay out on people dropping dead because they have been given the wrong drugs. It is not clear which drugs will be included in the scheme. X
