Via readies dual Nano for Vegas launch

Dual core expected early next year

By C Shanti @ Friday, September 19, 2008 3:01 PM

Sources whisper that Via's foundry has slated production of a dual core Nano chip for the end of this year, in a bid to roll out the red carpet at next year's CES show in Las Vegas.

The same sources said that it already has design wins based on the microprocessor, with HP possibly stepping up to the Nano plate.

While several review sites looked at the existing single core Nano some time ago, those reviews were based on the desktop version. It's likely that the notebook bins are coming along in the very near future, and they are pin compatible with the C7-M CPU.  We have, as yet, no details of the technical specs of the dual Nano. X
