Vodafone spends $38.5 million in New Zealand

Mega expansion on its mind

The New Zealand division of Vodafone is to spend $38.5 million (NZ $50million) to provide fixed line services to a quarter of the country's population.

Vodafone said that by October 2008 it would be able to provide fixed line services to all of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, which is home to about a quarter of the four million population. Expansion nationally would follow, reported Reuters X
