Website goes green

Heal the world

After efforts from environmentalists towards making the masses aware of global warming, it's now the turn of a website to pick up the green torch. A replica of Youtube named Go green tube, aims to educate people on environmental issues was launched last month.

The website, gives an opportunity to people to upload and share videos about the environment, green technologies, news and products. The site has joined hands with Carbonfund.org’s Carbon Free Program.  For every video that is watched, Go-green-tube equalises one pound of carbon dioxide. The site also enables viewers to sign up to receive community carbon credits for videos viewed.

The registration for the website is free and anyone can upload videos to share. Hopefully with the slogan “green” catching on fast, any site that encourages people's participation will further provide impetus to the global warming programme. X
