Website talks to God

For those too busy to say their prayers

By Emma Woollacott @ Monday, March 23, 2009 12:58 PM

We've all got one: a relative or old friend we're expected to talk to rather more often than we'd like. What a bore. But if, for you, that person is God, you're in luck, as a website is now available which says your prayers for you.

Information Age Prayer uses a text-to-speech capability to say your prayers for you each day. So far, it covers only Protestant, Catholic, Jewish and Muslim prayers, but they're an absolute bargain. A month's worth of Lord's Prayers will set you back just $3.95, while a Hail Mary is a steal at $0.07.

This month's specials include a Prayer for Peace, daily for $3.95, and a prayer for your children - clearly less of a tall order for God, as it costs only $1.99.

Muslims are assured the computer's speakers face Mecca.

The website won't guarantee results, however. 'As with all prayer, the final results are up to God, as everything follows His will,' says the site. But, it adds, 'The omniscient God knows exactly who has subscribed and who each prayer is from when their name is displayed on screen and their prayer voiced.' X
