Zee denies channels to Incablenet subscribers

Both companies involve in blame game

By Harsha Pramod @ Friday, July 25, 2008 1:35 PM

Zee Entertainment has allegedly denied channels like Ten Sports, Zee Marathi, Zee Talkies, Zee TV, Cartoon Network, Pogo, HBO, Zee Cafe, Zee Studio and Zee Cinema  to Incablenet subscribers in Mumbai.

The row between the two companies started in November 2007, when Zee demanded more than Rs 4 crore towards alleged outstandings. Pending hearings, Incablenet paid Rs 3.66 crore to Zee.

According to Incablenet, Zee has been pressurising the company for increasing subscriber numbers.

The matter is presently sub-judice and the court has given two weeks time to both parties to file their responses. In the meantime, Zee switched off the signals in Mumbai. X
